If you are a student seeking sites for your rotations or an Internship Director seeking placement for your students, please contact us and we would be more than happy to discuss the opportunities available with LCPS School Nutrition.
Our goal is to not only provide students with unique learning experiences, but allow them to and utilize their own creative talents to cultivate their skills as future dietitians. We currently accept interns from both local programs as well as those students enrolled in distance and satellite programs.
We strive to offer dietetic interns a variety of authentic experiences during their rotations with us. We gladly accept dietetic interns for food service, administrative, community, nutrition education, business management and corporate wellness rotations. Please check back soon to view examples of some of the experiences interns can expect with each rotation.
In order for LCPS School Nutrition to successfully complete the supervised practice with a dietetic intern, the Internship Director must provide us with the detailed information of the rotation, including anticipated timelines. Please note that we do not accept food service or administrative interns for a rotation of less than 6 weeks.
After a student has been accepted for their rotation by LCPS School Nutrition, they must complete the onboarding process as established by Loudoun County Public Schools. Details on this process can be found by clicking here. Failure to complete this step will result in a possible postponement of the rotation.
For questions concerned the Dietetic Internship opportunity, please contact our Coordinator of Marketing & Community Outreach, Stefanie Dove, RDN SNS at: Stefanie.Dove@LCPS.org
